Safety Nets

Safety Nets and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

A Protein Poem (2011)

I can trust there will be a safety net.

Knit out of the blood sweat and tears,
of hippies,
macho men,
kids in the ghetto,
a dirty hipster.

I can’t trust,
whatever is stopping you.
You won’t be,
F Scott Fitzgerald!

get a job,
that’s what it’s all about.

I hate people ascribing to a set of ideas,
but we have to forgive you,
I love The Great Gatsby.

This is a Protein Poem from one of the very first rounds back in 2010.  If you remember participating in this poem, comment with your role. We’d love to hear back from you!
